The Def. Check-In app is a valuable companion app for Bailbooks, designed for defendants to conveniently complete their weekly or daily check-ins with their bonded bail agency.

By activating the check-in and location sharing feature, the app continuously collects and shares your location, even while running in the background. Once you enter the pin code provided by your Bail Agent, the app securely sends your current location to your Bail Agent upon check-in.

One of the standout features of this app is its ability to function seamlessly in the background. You no longer need to open the app itself to notify your Bail Agent about your whereabouts.

If you prefer not to share your background location, you can easily disable this feature by adjusting the location services settings specifically for the Bailbook app on your phone.

It is important to note that while using GPS in the background, there could be a notable impact on your device's battery life. We recommend considering this factor before enabling constant background location tracking.
